Cooling water, intake & process water infrastructure diving.
Cooling and process water intakes, basins and outfalls at power plants, paper mills and chemical facilities, worked around operations.
Access where the facility can't.
Industrial water systems, cooling water, process water, intakes and outfalls, hold their most consequential conditions below the waterline and behind limited access. A fouled intake screen or a silted forebay can force an unplanned outage. Zion Marine provides the underwater access to inspect, maintain and repair those components where surface access is limited or impossible.
Total recordable incident rate. EMR 0.83 as of 2026. Registered on ISNetworld and Avetta.
What we're usually called in for.
The operational conditions that lead an owner to call.
Tight plant shutdown windows
Outage work requires round-the-clock mobilization and work coordinated around your outage schedule. We plan and execute to the outage schedule.
Thermal & chemical water conditions
Industrial basins may carry thermal or chemical loads.
Sediment & debris
Silt and debris accumulate in forebays, basins and pump wells, restricting flow and capacity. We remove it and restore flow.
Restricted access
Industrial intakes, screens and basins are confined and difficult to reach. We use difficult-access diving to get there.
Unknown conditions
We provide the condition assessment plant engineers need before planning.
Repair while the plant runs
An unplanned shutdown is rarely an option. We plan around active flow and operational constraints to keep the plant online.

Barge mooring cell inspection.
Owner: Primient · Location: Loudon, TN · Year: 2025 / Zion role: Prime contractor, direct to the owner
Primient needed its barge mooring cells inspected at its Loudon, Tennessee plant. Zion sent a commercial dive crew, inspected the cells underwater, and reported what we found.
