Market Introduction

Access where the facility can't.

Zion Marine has held a multi-year diving services contract with DeKalb County, Georgia for ten years. Public infrastructure, water systems, dams, bridges, ports, holds its most consequential conditions below the waterline, and public owners need those conditions documented to procurement and safety standards. Zion Marine provides the underwater access to inspect, document and repair submerged components for federal, state and municipal owners, with the registrations and reporting public procurement requires.

Common challenges

What we're usually called in for.

The operational conditions that lead an owner to call.

01

Strict safety & regulatory compliance

Federal scopes require strict adherence to USACE EM 385-1-1 and ADCI standards. We plan and document operations to those requirements.

02

Formal contracting & documentation

Public procurement requires verified registrations, bonding and standardized reporting. We provide the documentation procurement officers need.

03

Inspection requirements

Public infrastructure owners face regulatory and condition-rating inspection requirements. We deliver reports that meet those standards.

04

Unknown submerged conditions

Public assets are often long uninspected. We provide the condition assessment owners and engineers need for planning and funding.

05

Emergency & failure response

Public infrastructure failures, blocked intakes, failed gates, need a compliant response. We mobilize to the condition.

06

Prime contractor support

Public projects often run through prime contractors. We support primes with the diving scope, documentation and safety records they require.

Operational facilities

Working around operating infrastructure

Public infrastructure usually has to remain in service during inspection or repair. We coordinate with the owning agency on access, safety and documentation, and plan each scope around the operational and regulatory constraints the asset allows. Scopes are evaluated for flow, isolation, access and safety before the crew enters the water.
